In March, Managing Director, Robert Neighbour, returned to Somaliland for the fourth consecutive year to continue Diamedica’s support for anaesthesia services in the country. Robert has personally delivered equipment to 12 hospitals across Somaliland, the majority of which have been charitable donations. He has also provided training on the use and maintenance of equipment.
Diamedica’s Glostavent Portable DPA02 is designed to function in hostile locations, making it ideal for use in even the remotest regions of Somaliland. SANSOM (Safe Anaesthesia for Somaliland), a collaborative project instigated by Diamedica, held the country’s first anaesthesia conference and equipped newly graduated anaesthesia providers with portable anaesthesia kits.
