Neonatal Care In Liberia

News

July 24th, 2019

Diamedica is proud to supply appropriate equipment to leading charities working in low-resource locations. In April, we arranged a large shipment of five pallets of equipment to Liberia to coincide with a field visit by the charity Maternal and Childheath Advocacy International (MCAI). Diamedica has extensive experience of shipping equipment all around the globe and we can assist customers with import procedures.

The equipment was destined for new neonatal care units at five hospitals and included Diamedica’s Baby CPAP machines, that enable safe, affordable CPAP therapy without the need for expensive cylinders of compressed gases. For more details about our Baby CPAP please view the film below or visit our product page.

MCAI works to strengthen emergency care for pregnant women, newborn babies and children, including training in advanced maternity and neonatal care, obstetric anaesthesia and critical care. MCAI is an implementing partner of UNICEF on an obstetric and neonatal project at the Martha Tubman Hospital in Grand Gedeh province, Liberia.
