Diamedica has done it again – scooping not just one or two prizes, but three at the 2018 Africa Healthcare Summit.

We have been a proud recipient of multiple awards at this event three years running, and this year we won Medical Technology Breakthrough of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Medical Technology and the Innovation of the Year awards.

Bringing together development organisations from around the world, Africa Healthcare is Africa’s largest healthcare event in Europe. This business event provides high level discussion into the investment opportunities and technology procurement requirements of Africa's healthcare industry and is attended by high numbers of African delegates representing distributors, governments, hospitals, healthcare providers, investors and NGOs.

The Africa Healthcare Awards are created to recognise excellence and achievements in the field of African healthcare, as well as recognising new international solutions and technologies that have the potential to create innovation and catalyse development in Africa.

We are thrilled to announce that the Diamedica Baby CPAP won two awards, Medical Technology Breakthrough of the Year and Outstanding Contribution to Medical Technology.

The Baby CPAP is a unique solution to enable lifesaving bubble CPAP therapy for preterm babies, neonates and infants in low resource settings, where oxygen limited or unavailable.

Last but certainly not least, the Diamedica team was proud that our Oxygen Reservoir System took home this year’s Innovation of the Year award.

The Oxygen Reservoir System is an excellent solution in low resource settings to ensure oxygen therapy is available in any location and that essential oxygen supplies are never interrupted.

The Diamedica Oxygen Reservoir Filling System is proving invaluable at hospitals in 15 low-income countries, including The Gambia, Kenya and Liberia, as well as in mobile hospitals for emergency situations.

Diamedica is delighted to have been selected as a winner again while recognising the efforts of others who also applied in the awards selection process. We are all striving to improve healthcare for limited resource settings and are making great inroads together.
